The parents were saying that it wasn't safe because they wanted to use that as an excuse. Because I don't think they wanted their kids to know that the world had a segragation. I think when Clover's mom was watching the two girls and she did not get them to get off the fence because she wanted them to get over the segragation.

I agree with you. After parents found out that the segregation doesn't have to last to next generation, they are willing to let the wrong opinion disappear.
I think it's very kind and wise of Clover's mom. Thank you for sharing with us =)

and i am sgree with you,too.i don't think there is any different inside heart between people with different colors skin.
